First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IBM iX.
Frontend Developer
I applied for a frontend role as a junior developer. The interviewers either didn't know that or they just ignored the fact that I'm looking for an entry-level job which led to a disaster. They were asking me tough questions and at some point, I felt like they were doing it on purpose. After about 20 minutes of questioning, I felt like I wanted to leave the room and never come back. I don't know if they had bad intentions or not, but they certainly made me feel like an idiot. Also, I mentioned on my CV that I work with JavaScript, but most of their questions were about Java.
- Questions about Java and SQL were asked.
Frontend Developer
First, there's a technical interview, then a manager interview. If those go well, a final HR round happens to talk salary. Then they'll give you the offer, or you can try to negotiate.
- Questions about JavaScript basics
- Questions about Reactjs basics
Frontend Developer
The initial stage was an online test, but I didn't advance even with a score of 85-90%. I suspect they might track window switching during the test, or perhaps the applicant pool was exceptionally competitive.
- Could you tell me which CSS property is used for positioning an element?
