Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IAC.
Software Engineer
Had a quick chat with HR first, then a technical call with the Manager, followed by a 5-hour on-site with the team. Things moved super fast, and I heard back within a day of the last interview. The whole thing was really speedy. The interviewers were great, really supportive and understanding. Even with the long 5-hour session, it didn't feel draining. They made me feel comfortable and relaxed.
- Lots of Data Structures and algorithm questions, plus some brain teasers.
Software Engineer
First there was a phone interview, and then an onsite interview. Everything went smoothly, and the onsite part was great. I talked to about 4 or 5 engineers who asked me a mix of design and coding questions. I got an offer within 3 days after that. Negotiating the offer was easy.
- How would you design a system for restaurant reservations?
Software Engineer
The hiring manager initially gave me a call to ask some technical questions and about my current situation. A few days later, HR arranged the on-site interview, including travel and accommodation. During the on-site, I met with five people and we went out for lunch. About a week after the on-site, I received an offer.
