The interview itself was a nice conversation with some interior design team members. I could tell that they cared about their work and were very talented designers. It was a typical interview with some basic questions and a walk-through of my portfolio. The negative experience was not due to a lack of a job offer, but a lack of communication from the recruiter. I had to follow up many times to confirm the interview time and was completely ghosted post-interview after multiple follow-ups. It would be better to receive a quick rejection instead of being left hanging.

It was an internship that turned into a Full-time role after Graduation. I was initially looking to go to a different location but since I was on the other side of the country, they offered me a position in my state instead to avoid the hassle of moving for just an internship, which was a nice gesture as the location in my state didn't have a job posting. The interview lasted about 15 minutes and was very chill, not as serious as you might expect. We talked a lot about my Revit skills and my career aspirations as a Designer, and why I believed IA would help me achieve them. The focus on interiors really interested me, as it would allow me to refine my skills. A great internet connection is essential! I had a website, but it's a good idea to compress your website into a PDF as a backup in case they can't access it. They might also ask you to share your screen to view your website/portfolio. Always have backups of everything – if one fails, they'll appreciate that you have an alternative. They likely won't ask about pay; they'll probably tell you what they're offering on the spot, or you'll find it in the offer letter emailed to you.

The interview process was very smooth. The first part was a panel interview which felt a bit intimidating, but everyone was really welcoming. The second part was more relaxed, and I was invited to the office to meet the team. They asked typical interview questions, like why I wanted to work there, what kind of work I was looking for, and then we went over my portfolio.
