I've gone through a couple of interview processes with the company and neither went well. It was hard to get answers to my questions during both times. Recruiters usually don't respond unless they're moving you to the next round, and even then, many questions went unanswered. In my first attempt, I got through the process, but the salary at the end wasn't what I was looking for. They were offering less than my current salary. I don't understand how this happened since I clearly stated my salary expectations on my application. In my second attempt for a similar job, the director missed my interview. It was eventually rescheduled. The only acknowledgment I received was that there are a lot of emails going around and sometimes they get missed. I guess I expected more of an apology, but maybe that's not their company culture. When I finally interviewed for the position, the director was quite negative about the company in general. It was a pretty bad interview experience overall, even though the interview itself was easy. Maybe my expectations are too high, but in my current company, we try to leave every candidate with a positive impression of the company, knowing they could be a customer one day or improve their resume and work for us in the future. This definitely doesn't happen with Hyundai.

The interview process spanned two months. It began with a phone call with HR, which was positive and friendly. Then, there was an in-person meeting with the hiring team, which felt more like a courtesy interview. I later learned the senior manager wasn't available, which was a hint I wasn't the top choice. I felt I connected well with the hiring manager during the interview. After a month without any updates, I emailed HR and was informed that another candidate had been chosen. It would have been courteous to receive an email notifying me that the position was filled.

I applied online and then HR reached out to schedule an initial phone chat. That call was about 45 minutes. After that, they set up an in-person interview with HR and the hiring manager. The HR part felt like a quick check. Then I met the hiring manager who was really professional. He had his own questions, plus he mentioned he'd ask 3 specific ones. All 3 of those were about connecting past experiences to what-if scenarios. The whole thing took about 2 hours.
