Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hyundai Capital America.

First, there was an HR call to connect with the hiring manager. Then, I had interviews with two managers, each lasting about 30 minutes. After that, I interviewed with a director for 30-60 minutes. Finally, there was a background check and salary negotiation.

The interview process was standard. Nothing to complain about at all. The people were nice and approachable. My concern is that the salary range promoted on the job description does NOT represent what they are willing to actually pay. The range provided on the job I applied for had a $30,000 range...when I spoke with the talent acquisition staff, I was informed that the salary for the position will only be paid at the lower end of the range. There is a pay transparency law in California for a reason, and this is the reason.

The interview process included 2 interviews: first an HR interview that lasted 30mins, then an interview with the supervisor and director that was 2hrs. The HR person was very personable and responsive and the hiring process overall was quick. The manager and director were also super nice and professional. The company has grown a lot over the last decade and it appears they are planning for strong growth in the coming years. I also noticed that most employees have been at HCA for a long time, like 10-20 years. However, the salary offered was too low compared to my goal, so I had to decline the offer.
- Can you share some information about yourself and your previous experience?
- What unique skills or contributions can you bring to our team?
- Are you experienced with A, B, and C?
