Implementation Manager
I applied online and spoke with a recruiter for an initial phone call. Then, I had another phone interview with the hiring manager. Shortly after, I went in for an onsite interview. Once at the office, I met with three people from the team individually. I also had to give a presentation to the hiring manager, which was pretty weird. He greeted me coldly and then, during my presentation, stared at me with his eyes bulging out and made strange interjections. It was really unsettling and felt like he was trying to mess with me and intimidate me. I have a feeling he decided against hiring me as soon as he saw me because I think I was racially profiled. A few days later, the recruiter emailed me saying they passed on me because of "fit."
- How would you handle situations with clients where the company's products might not be fully accurate?
- What's your approach to managing client expectations regarding product accuracy limitations?
Manager
The interview process was really smooth and I always knew what was going on. HyperScience was great about giving feedback. It started with a recruiter call where they asked basic stuff like my background and goals. Then, I had a call with the hiring manager who asked more job-specific questions for about 30 minutes, like behavioral questions and problem-solving approaches. The next day, I got a take-home assignment that took about 4 hours and was meant to be like the actual work. After I submitted it, I was invited for an on-site interview. It was about 5 hours long and I presented my assignment findings to the team and met with lots of people, including c-suite, HM, team members, and cross-functional folks. Everyone seemed to be evaluating different things like cultural fit and technical skills. The recruiter said I'd hear back in 2-3 days, and I did, with an offer!
- Can you describe a technical part of your current job?
Implementation Manager
The interview process felt pretty smooth and organized. It kicked off with a recruiter call to check my interest and if I was a good fit. Then, I had a call with the hiring manager to dive deeper into my past experiences and skills. These calls were more like chats, which was nice. After those two calls, I got a small project to do in a few days. Then, I went in for an on-site interview where I met the team and presented my project. The recruiter kept in touch throughout and answered my questions quickly. Overall, it was a good experience.
- Can you share an instance of dealing with a stressful client situation and your approach to resolving it?
