My interview process began with a phone chat, then I had a video interview with the senior social media coordinator. After that, I was given a 24-hour assignment that involved writing and using Photoshop. I didn't hear back after submitting that.

I got invited to a first call, then they ghosted me for weeks. The interview was with the chief and a senior staff member. They asked me about brands I like and why, and also about their own social media, like what I would do differently. I'm not sure if I should have been totally honest with my suggestions. After that, the HR person took over 2 weeks to get back to me, saying the role was closed because of a hiring freeze. It was weird because they then changed their social media tone after Threads launched. I wonder if they just wanted ideas for their socials at hbx. They said it was the first hire for socials, but it felt like they already had a social media manager.
