First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hyland.
Solution Engineer
I walked into a room and there were 4 people there, 2 Team Leads, 1 Manager, and 1 HR Rep. They were dressed casually, but I wore a suit and tie. I had to do a presentation on a technology topic of my choice. After that, they asked me a bunch of questions and gave me some scenarios about how I'd handle a customer, since this is a customer-focused company.
- What is it about Hyland that you find most appealing?
Solution Engineer
This was the most thorough interview process I've been through, consisting of three steps. Hyland Software interviewed me to see if I was a good fit, and I also got to interview them to see if I wanted to join the company. Before each interview, I had some homework to do that helped me show off my communication and presentation skills. The poem on the initial application was a fun way to make things less boring. We had a quick offer negotiation, and then I was onboard.
- What are the qualities of good software?
- What is your interest in Hyland Software?
Solution Engineer
I sent in my application online and then a recruiter got in touch to set up a phone interview. It was about 30 minutes long and they said I'd hear back in about a week. I actually didn't hear anything for two weeks, so I emailed the recruiter and got a response about a week after that saying they were moving forward with other candidates.
- Can you describe your technical experience related to instructing customers?
