Intern
Applying to this company has been nothing but a struggle. Last year, I spent two months in their application process, only to find the Hiring Manager unavailable. I ended up speaking with a non-interviewer, and we just chatted about the weather for 20 minutes. This year, I reapplied for a different role and heard back the next day after submitting my application. I completed a phone screening which seemed to go okay. A coordinator then contacted me to set up an interview for the following week. However, after I prepared, the recruiter informed me they were no longer interviewing for the position because the company was changing its direction for that role. This happened the day before the scheduled interview! It's frustrating when companies post openings without being sure about the role. The communication is terrible, management is poor, and it's a complete waste of time. I definitely don't recommend applying as an intern; it's a huge time sink!
- What makes you want to be employed by a tech company?
Intern
Had a 15-minute phone meeting where they asked questions about my past experiences, school, majors, passion, and career path. They also asked why I chose my current path and how my major would help me in the role.
- Can you tell me about your past experiences?
- What are your academic majors?
- Could you describe your school work?
Intern
I applied at my school's Career Fair and then was contacted a few weeks later for an on-site interview. It started with a 20-minute computer skills test to check my knowledge of computers and applications. Then, I had a 30-minute HR interview, which was more behavioral. Lastly, I had an hour-long interview with two future colleagues where they asked about my interests and classes. It wasn't intimidating.
