I applied and got a virtual interview request pretty quickly, within about a week. I then had a few days to complete the Knockri virtual interview. It was pretty straightforward, with three questions in total, and I had three minutes to answer each one.

This interview was tough for a 3rd year engineering student. I was surprised by the technical questions about the power triangle and real and reactive power. I didn't get the job, but they were nice about it.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I applied online through the university's career site and the Hydro One site. About two weeks after applying, I got an interview request via the university career services. They invited me for an in-person interview at the downtown Hydro One office. Two engineers interviewed me. The interview lasted an hour and covered five parts: Behavioral, Technical (most questions), Situational, Improvisation, and Business Type questions, in that order. The interviewers were really nice. It was at the end of the week and I got an offer the following week.

Confirmed questions8 questions

  • What's your biggest weakness?
  • Can you explain what a transformer is?
