First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HYDAC.
Design Engineer
I had a one-on-one interview with the engineering manager. It covered the usual interview questions, then I got a tour of the plant. The interview itself wasn't too tough and gave me a good idea of what the company does.
- What are your salary expectations?
Project Engineer
The atmosphere was pleasant and genuine. The appreciation for employees and colleagues was clearly evident. The company's development direction, mindset, and structure were communicated clearly and understandably. Applicant requirements were addressed directly. Questions were answered honestly and without ambiguity. It was unmistakable that Hydac knows exactly what it wants and stays true to itself. As an applicant, you know where you stand, thus getting a solid basis for decision-making.
- What's your reason for applying, what are your thoughts, and what do you expect?
- Can you tell me more about your career background and what you're looking for?
- Do you have any questions regarding your CV?
Project Engineer
The interview didn't include any technical or engineering-specific questions. It focused on general career-related inquiries, such as why I chose my engineering degree, my aspirations for the future, and some behavioral and personality assessments to gauge my suitability for the project engineer role.
- What led you to choose mechanical engineering instead of fields like mechatronics?
