First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hyatt.
Manager
The interview process was straightforward and efficient, saving me valuable time. I really liked the way things were handled, and everyone I interacted with was very welcoming. I would suggest others apply and seek employment at this great company.
- What is it about this role that sparks your interest?
Manager
Applied online in Feb 2016 and got an email from a recruiter for a phone interview. A week later, they contacted me to set up an in-person interview at corporate HQ. Met with hiring managers for a standard, hour-long interview. About a week after that, received a follow-up to schedule a final 2.5-hour interview with various managers, directors, and the SVP. Sent thank you emails to everyone I met, but it's been 5 weeks of silence since the final interview from the Hyatt recruiter. Disappointing to go through multiple rounds and then be ignored. It would be courteous to at least send an email if they've moved on or decided not to hire me. Not impressed with Hyatt, especially since they're supposed to be a top workplace. Very unprofessional and rude.
- What makes you a good fit for this position?
Management Trainee
The application process was quite fast. After submitting my application, I received a call for an interview within a fortnight. I had a meeting with the Front Desk manager, who gave me an overview of the job responsibilities and discussed potential career advancement within the company.
- Are you open to working any shift?
- Could you work the graveyard shift if needed, as this is a hotel position?
