I interviewed with the Group Senior Event Planner. They asked me questions about my personal and professional experience related to the role. Hyatt had hired me before for a different job, and they promoted me to a meeting planner.

The first call and the phone screen went quick, which is a good sign. The phone screen wasn't super detailed, but the recruiter and I communicated a good bit via email and calls. I was set up for an interview the next week, but then there was no follow-up on the time, location, or who I'd be meeting. I had to call the recruiter, and then a few days before, I ended up calling the boss I would've been working with if I got the job. After the two interviews, the recruiter didn't follow up, and my boss and I pretty much knew she wasn't much help, so we just talked about the job itself, basically cutting out the middle person.

Behavioral Presentation

I was surprised to get an in-person interview invite after a month of applying. It was set up like a job fair. I signed in with my name and the position I applied for, then waited. Someone would check the list and get the hiring manager. When the hiring manager came, we were taken into an empty conference room for a panel interview. I interviewed with two people, the VP/Director and the Asst Director. The director was very personable and friendly. The asst director didn't seem very interested, didn't really smile, and gave off an unfriendly vibe.
