It was a basic in-person interview first where the manager told me about the products and clients I might deal with. They also checked how comfortable I was with the product and selling it. Then, there were one or two more short phone interviews.

I got a call 4 days after applying on the LFP website. The recruiter gave an overview of my resume over the phone and I scheduled an in-person interview for that Friday. I met the recruiter, marketing manager, and both the old and new sales operations directors. The recruiter shared some quick tips and admitted my experience wasn't ideal, but I presented well. The interview with the marketing manager was unusual, ill-prepared, and informal. After about 15 minutes, I met with the old and new sales operations directors for a 20-min interview that was more structured and explored my experiences. The new director suggested I visit the store and send back marketing ideas. Afterward, I met with the recruiter again, who said they liked me. She mentioned they would decide in about a week. That weekend, I visited the store and emailed a thank you letter with 3 marketing ideas. I didn't get a response, so I replied to her confirmation email. A week later, I left the recruiter a voicemail for an update. I haven't heard anything since.

I applied online via LFP's career site. Although I'm in my 20s, I have several years of management experience in specialty products. The interview was great. Initially, the interviewer asked standard questions from a paper. I answered honestly. Then, the interviewer asked 'Why Hustler?' and 'What can you offer Hustler, besides the obvious?', to which I detailed my outside promoting experience and business-bringing skills. The interviewer was very pleased, stating that was exactly what s/he needed due to slight sales dips at the location. The interview lasted over an hour, was professional yet friendly. Afterwards, I was asked to complete a formal application including consent for drug testing, background checks (criminal, employment, credit). Two weeks passed with no word, so I called the interviewer. S/he said I was a 'front-runner' and that corporate was slow. Another two weeks passed, and I grew concerned about my credit history. I checked my report and it was fine; no recent credit checks by Hustler. Normally, I can self-critique interviews, but I felt I did well: dressed professionally, attractive, relevant management and promoting experience, age was not an issue, clean background, and would pass a drug test. No missteps, and they didn't contact my references. This might be specific to the location, but be prepared for a long interview and potentially no follow-up.

It was a pretty tough interview process, but I get why. It started with HR giving me a call for a phone interview. It lasted about 45 minutes and wasn't super detailed about the business, but mostly about my experience. She was really nice and professional, said she liked my experience and would let me know about a second interview. She called me back the same day to set up a phone interview with the District Manager. I had that phone interview with him, and he was also really friendly and professional. He mentioned they'd set up another phone interview if they decided to move forward. I got a call to set up another phone interview, this time with the Director of Stores, another friendly and professional person who asked great questions and gave good info. He said that if we moved forward, I'd have a face-to-face interview with the DM. Then I got another call to set up a face-to-face interview and a background check. I met the DM at a Starbucks, I was really nervous, but he made me feel comfortable, such a nice person. I got offered the job a couple of weeks later.
