Behavioral

I spoke with two hiring managers, one from the on-road team and one from the off-road team. The interview was mostly behavioral, focusing on personality and past achievements. One manager was more laid back than the other. It's a good idea to research the company beforehand to understand its history and culture.

Behavioral Technical Case

The interview process began with a quick two-part phone screen. First, the recruiter called with some basic questions. Then, the Supplier Development Manager conducted a more detailed 30-minute phone screen the next day. After that, I received a case study via email from the recruiter to complete at home before the main interview. This case study involved a manufacturing scenario where I had to use knowledge of statistical quality control, and it took me about 2 hours. Some questions were a bit unclear, but it was a learning experience. The on-site part lasted about 3 hours and included a plant tour. Then, I met with five different interviewers for 30 minutes each. The first person discussed the case study with me, and the other four asked about my background and technical experience. Some questions were repeated, which made me wonder about their coordination, but everyone was friendly and encouraging. It's quite a comprehensive process for an entry-level role, so be prepared.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I ran into a Husco employee at a campus career fair. After a chat, they set me up for an interview the next day. This interview was a 1-1 where they shared more about Husco, went over my resume, and answered my questions. Later, Husco reached out to schedule an onsite interview in Waukesha, WI, covering travel and lodging. At the onsite, there were about 4-5 of us being interviewed at separate tables. We then rotated through 1-2 current employees (from HR to Engineering) who discussed my resume and values. We also had a factory tour and a presentation from Husco.

Before the onsite interview, I had to complete two handwritten assessments that I scanned and sent in, plus one electronic assessment. It would have been easier if they were all electronic. The onsite interview was scheduled, but I didn't get an itinerary showing who I would meet or their job titles, only the location and time. One interviewer was late, rushed through some questions, and told me to email any questions. I emailed my questions but got no reply. After two emails asking for an update, I was told I was still being considered. I sent two more emails asking for an update, but then heard nothing. It was a bad experience overall.
