First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Huron Consulting Group.
Manager
It kicked off with a phone screen chat with the recruiter, then a couple of behavior interviews with some mid-level staff where they asked a mix of planned and spontaneous questions. After that, there was a pretty straightforward case interview focused on whether to bring a dialysis service line in-house or outsource it. The process wrapped up with a final interview with a Partner/MD. I got the offer news from the recruiter within two weeks after that last chat.
- Should the company insource or outsource a dialysis company? Discuss with a case study.
Manager
I had an initial chat with the recruiter for the manager role where we discussed things like salary expectations. Then I interviewed with a Managing Director but didn't hear back after that. The interview mostly focused on my background in the healthcare sector, and it seemed they were more interested in operational experience within Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) rather than a technology focus.
- Could you describe your background in healthcare consulting?
- Can you tell me about any projects you've led and their scale?
- Have you been involved in client acquisition or sales?
Resource Manager
The interview process involved 4 meetings with various leaders and then 1 meeting with the client. Each leader focused on a different area, asking questions related to leadership, adaptability, and technical knowledge.
- Can you give an example of a time you led a team through a difficult situation?
- Tell me about a time when you had to be flexible and adjust to unexpected changes.
- What are your thoughts on the current technology landscape for resource management?
