Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Huron Consulting Group.
Intern
The interview process included a 30-minute initial screening, followed by a 1-hour session covering behavioral questions and a case study. Finally, there was a 1.5-hour presentation case, which involved live editing of a PowerPoint presentation and vocalizing my thought process to the interviewer.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in Huron?
- What are your reasons for wanting to join this specific department?
Intern
It was a chill interview, they asked the usual behavioral questions that are similar to hirevue. They used Microsoft teams but it had some issues when starting the interview.
- Can you tell me why you chose your major?
- What makes you interested in this particular role?
Intern
Huron was very prompt and clear throughout the whole process. It seemed like they interviewed a lot of candidates for only a few open positions, so the chances were slim. The first round was a 30-min behavioral interview on campus. The interviewer asked each question twice, like "tell me a time when..." and then "now tell me another time". I got a call less than an hour after the interview ended to let me know I wouldn't move on to the next round, which would have been the same day and consisted of a 45-min behavioral interview and a 45-min case interview. The interviewer and recruiter were really nice and made me feel comfortable during the process.
- Tell me about a situation where you went above and beyond to solve a problem.
- Can you share another instance of solving a problem by going above and beyond?
- What makes you interested in consulting, and specifically Huron?
