The interview process starts with a screening call to check if you're qualified and a good fit. After that, you might have a few more interviews. These could include behavioral or situational questions, technical tests, or even role-playing. The last step usually involves checking your references and discussing the job offer. Throughout this whole thing, they're trying to figure out your skills, what experience you have, if you'll fit in with the team, and if you can really add value to the company. Keep in mind, the exact process can differ based on the industry, how big the company is, and the level of the job.

Dev, don't waste your time! First, there's an HR interview to get to know the person and their experiences. After that, a technical interview with Engineering leaders. They'll give you a technical challenge and a timeframe to complete it. Unfortunately, they won't get back to you about the challenge. So, just DON'T DO IT! They have not an ounce of consideration for a candidate who set aside hours, days to develop this challenge. If they can't treat candidates with respect, imagine an employee.

Very long and costly technical assessment process. There's a bottleneck in the application funnel where one of the stages is only passed through technical assessment with other developers. Since other developers will only evaluate the technical part, they tend to set the 'evaluation bar' very high. It is important to include an HR professional in this moment to consider the candidate's potential and non-technical factors in the selection process. Candidates with potential might waste a lot of time on a technical test, and not realize that an expert level is expected in solving the challenge at the end of the test.

Fui convidado para a entrevista por e-mail, e ela aconteceu pelo Meet. A primeira etapa foi com o RH, onde fiz uma apresentação básica e respondi a perguntas tranquilas. Depois, recebi outro convite do RH para a entrevista com o pessoal da Hurb. Essa entrevista foi descontraída, me senti muito à vontade, e as pessoas eram muito profissionais. No final, a coordenadora de pessoas garantiu que todos teriam feedback sobre as etapas. No dia seguinte, recebi um contato pelo WhatsApp informando que eu havia passado para a entrevista com o gestor. A entrevista com o gestor foi séria, mas ele era muito profissional. Ele me fez perguntas difíceis, mas pertinentes à vaga. Fui informada que receberia feedback dessa etapa em uma semana, mas já se passaram mais de duas semanas e ainda não recebi. Esse ponto me fez achar a experiência ruim, pois um candidato se dedica tempo e se prepara para a entrevista, e depois nem um e-mail de agradecimento recebe. Fiquei decepcionada.
