First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Huntsville Hospital.
Patient Care Technician
Got an interview request almost right away, and the process was super smooth and felt really friendly. They showed me around the unit and introduced me to some of the team. Overall, it was a really welcoming interview experience.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations to assist a client?
Shift Supervisor
I got the interview through a referral. I had 6 interviews, which is more than the usual 3 before being hired. The first interview was with a manager in patient services, then an interview with her replacement, and then with that replacement and the director. Next, an interview was scheduled with the retail manager, and then the retail manager with the director. Again with the retail manager, and then an offer was made. HR hires about twice a month, so radio silence for a bit can be normal. Also, you have to accept the offer by a certain time to get into the first wave of hires. The orientation is two days long and boring, but everyone gets the same helpful orientation.
- Tell me about your future plans with the company.
Pharmacy Technician
The hiring process for this role includes a math test and meetings with several people from the department, such as Pharmacists or the Director. If you're already a Certified technician, the math test should be straightforward. Otherwise, it's a good idea to refresh your math skills or study for the Certification exam, as all technicians must be certified within one year of starting the job.
- Can you describe a difficult situation you encountered and its resolution?
Patient Access Representative
It was a panel interview and it was super quick, lasting about 5-10 minutes. They asked me to tell them about myself and then we just talked about the details of the position. They also asked about the specific locations I'd be willing to work at, like Huntsville Main, Madison, or Women's and Children's.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Which location(s) would you be open to working at?
