Applied and a recruiter reached out a week later, then scheduled me with the director a few days later, and then was asked to come for an in-person interview. Nothing difficult, but I felt like the director was looking for a "unicorn" candidate. Given a tour around and introduced to people in the office. Then was told, I would hear back early next week. Took 3 weeks to get an automated rejection.

So first, you gotta send in your application, which usually means your resume, cover letter, and whatever else they ask for. Then, they'll look through all the applications to see who fits the basic requirements. They might scan your resume for skills, experience, and education. Some places might make you do online tests to check your skills or personality. If they like your application, you might get a quick phone call to see if you're still interested and qualified. The next step is usually an in-person or video interview with the hiring manager or HR to check your skills, experience, and if you'd fit in. For some jobs, they might also have you do a technical test to see how good you are at specific things.

I first got a call from the hiring manager about my application. I had originally applied for a per diem position, but I told them I was interested in the full-time 12-hour shift role. They set up an interview for me over video, which was super convenient. During the interview, they asked me to talk about myself and my background, and then they asked some general interview questions. I didn't find it too difficult, but there were a few questions that made me pause and think before answering.

We set up a phone interview, but the person didn't call when they were supposed to, and they didn't say anything about it. I had to call them, and about 30 minutes later, they finally picked up. We rescheduled, but again, the interviewer missed the scheduled time and didn't reach out about any delay or cancellation. I want to believe them, but I felt like they didn't care about my time and it gave me a bad impression of the company. I decided not to move forward with the job and won't be applying for other jobs at Huntington Health.
