First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hunter Douglas.
Intern
It was a pretty simple process, mainly about understanding my goals. They really wanted to know about my studies and what I did outside of class, which made sense for this position.
- Which university course did you like best and explain why?
Intern
The entire interview process was quite smooth and simple. It mostly consisted of behavioral questions, with some technical elements mixed in, such as discussing data work and the reasoning behind specific decisions. The initial stage was a typical HR screening, followed by an online assessment that included numerical and vocabulary tests. Next, there was an interview involving the team manager and an HR Business Partner. The third round was with a business leader, specifically the president of the brand I was associated with. The final round was a group interview with the VP of global talent, which felt more like a casual get-to-know-you session. Throughout the process, everyone was very friendly, the recruiter was helpful, and the emphasis was more on cultural alignment and team fit rather than intense technical evaluations. However, it's still important to be well-prepared on your experiences and resume.
- Describe a time you had a disagreement with a teammate or stakeholder and explain how you resolved it.
Intern
I had a recruiter call, which went great. But then she ghosted me after saying someone would contact me in a few days about next steps. I tried to follow up for feedback, but got no response.
- Can you tell me more about yourself?
