It was a pretty thorough interview process, 6 interviews in total, all the way up to the VP of Sales. Most of it was done over the phone, with 30-45 minute conversations. They really take it seriously, even for basic jobs. All the interviewers ask pretty much the same questions, asking for explanations on your background and experience in the field.

The interview process started with a recruiter phone screen, followed by an in-person interview with the local district manager. Then there was a phone interview with the regional manager and another phone interview with the regional VP. The final round was an in-person interview with all three managers, which was repetitive and focused heavily on work experience and numbers, with no personal background questions. The regional manager was late and unprofessional during our call, and the recruiter seemed inexperienced, suggesting the final meeting was a formality after I'd driven three hours. The final round was intense and grilling, with no opportunity for light conversation, making me question if they'd liked me at all. The management team appeared to be an 'old boys' club' with few women in leadership.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Humanscale is very organized during the interview process. Initially, I was contacted by HR/Recruiter, then quickly moved to the local District Manager (DM) and Regional Director (RD). My process might have been a bit different, but I first met the DM and RD who asked a lot about my past experiences, aspirations, and general background. When I got to the office, some current staff met me, and we had brief chats; they greeted me 'nicely,' which was very positive. Following that, I had a phone interview with a higher-up Director where we talked about job specifics and reviewed the fundamentals. Then, I met with the DM and RD again for more detailed discussions. After that, I had a meeting with the RD and the Vice President, which was more about them showcasing the company and confirming my goals matched their requirements.
