HR Manager
This was a competency and skills based interview process. It was a four stage process using teams with cross functional leaders over a period of about a month. Engaging experience with plenty of opportunity to discuss the role and organisation.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
Ergonomist
So I got an email from a recruiter to get things rolling, like most companies. But then things went downhill. My first interview, which was booked a week in advance, started more than an hour late because the interviewer didn't show up on time. During this interview, it felt like the person was just bragging about the company while picking apart my resume. Even so, I got moved to a second interview, which was virtual. This one started 10 minutes late, and they said they had no excuse and almost forgot about it. I really think Humanscale needs to get its hiring process together before they look for talented people. They kept mentioning their 'great reputation' during the first interview, which really didn't match up with the experience.
- What are your five-year career aspirations?
Operations Manager
The initial chat with the recruiter was pleasant. However, the hiring manager seemed a bit disengaged and uninterested during the interview. It was a very one-sided conversation that felt discouraging, and the interviewer appeared bored. There was no follow-up or response after the interview concluded.
- Are you familiar with Microsoft Project?
- What kind of input data does Microsoft Project require?
- Could you outline the stages involved in project management?
Quality Engineer
I went through 4 rounds. First was a recruiter phone screen. Then I talked to the Site Quality Leader (Hiring Manager). After that, I spoke with the Director of PD and Manufacturing. The last round involved talking to the Global Director of Quality and then the Site Quality Leader again. They asked me the same questions in the second and final rounds and I gave the same answers. The process started in May and I'd hear about the next steps every three weeks. But after the final round, I didn't get any updates even though they said they'd get back to me in 3-4 weeks. I tried emailing the recruiter, but she never replied. The job was posted in late April and they're still looking. It's been 5.5 months and I'm not even sure what they're looking for anymore. I found a better job and moved on. They should let candidates know if they're not selected so people don't get their hopes up.
