Had a telephonic interview with some nurse leaders. It felt laid back and friendly, and they gave a lot of good info. It does take a while to hear back between steps though. This is an awesome company, I love it! I highly recommend this organization!

I applied online, and got a call from a Corporate recruiter about 2 weeks later. The recruiter did a quick phone interview, and then said she wanted to set up an in-person interview with the hiring managers. We scheduled an interview over the phone for the next week, and I got an email with Humana benefits info right after. The hiring managers were cool enough to interview me after regular business hours to work with my schedule. Two Nurse Managers interviewed me; they were professional and nice. The office was nice, clean, and in a good area. They asked standard behavioral and situational questions. I asked them "why do you work here", and they both said great things about the company and seemed happy. Dress professionally and be engaging with the interviewers, don't make them work hard for information.

I applied online for the Personal Nurse job at Humana. The next day, the recruiter called, expressing strong interest. We scheduled a phone interview for my next day off. I researched the company and role. However, the recruiter didn't call at the scheduled time. Around 11:20 am my time, I called her back to confirm the details, mentioning the time zone confusion. She apologized, explaining a system change had disrupted her calendar, but confirmed the interview was still on and asked if I was available. We proceeded, and she discussed the position's details. Near the end, she unexpectedly asked about my highest education level. Upon learning I had an Associate's in Nursing, she stated I wasn't qualified as a Bachelor's was required, admitting she had overlooked this. The conversation became awkward, and she suggested other roles suitable for an Associate's degree holder. The process felt disorganized, and it seemed neither the job posting nor I had noticed the degree requirement.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you tell me your understanding of this role?
  • What is the highest degree you have obtained?
