Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Humana.
IT Intern
First there was a HireVue thing with some easy questions like why Humana, why you picked your major, and your AI usage. Then a 30-min behavioral interview, pretty chill, just normal situation questions. After that, a 45-min technical interview, but no coding, they just wanted me to talk about my resume projects and some general tech concepts.
- Why Humana?
- Why did you choose your major?
- How do you use AI?
IT Intern
The interview process kicked off with a Hirevue, then moved to a 45-minute behavioral interview, followed by a 45-minute technical interview. After that, there was a Leader Review, and finally an Offer. The whole thing took about 2 months, and it was mostly behavioral questions. The technical part involved some data structures like arrays, linked lists, and trees.
- Can you explain the difference between arrays and linked lists and when one would be more appropriate than the other?
- Describe how to use arrays.
- Describe how to use linked lists.
IT Intern
The interview process kicked off with a self-recorded virtual interview. After that, I was immediately advanced to the final round, which involved three separate interviews with a total of seven team members. Unfortunately, after the final round, I didn't receive any communication. I reached out to the recruiter for an update after a week of silence, but they didn't respond. It's frustrating to reach the final stage and not get a simple notification about not getting the position. I can handle rejection, but being left in the dark after investing my time is not ideal.
- Can you share an instance where you applied project management skills?
