The interview process started with a discussion with the hiring manager about my CV, lasting 45 minutes. Then, there was a Data Science Fundamental Interview focusing on theoretical DS questions, also 45 minutes. This was followed by a Coding Interview where I had to write a simulation and calculate probabilities, taking 45 minutes. Next was a Communication Interview, requiring me to explain DS concepts to someone not in DS, lasting 45 minutes. The final interview was a Critical Thinking Interview, where I had to investigate a problem by asking questions to the interviewer, also 45 minutes. There was an optional HR prep call offered before almost every step to help prepare. Yes, there are 5 interviews, which is quite a lot, but the whole process was really interesting and not like typical interviews with a bunch of theoretical questions from Google. I would have gladly accepted the offer, but outside circumstances meant I had to decline.

So, first it was HR, then the hiring manager. After that, there was a live coding test in SQL and Python. The final stage was an onsite interview that had four parts: communication skills, a technical interview focusing on ML and DL, and a critical thinking assessment, with each part lasting an hour. The HR person was super professional and set up a prep call for me after each interview.

Behavioral Technical

A recruiter reached out to me and gave a really thorough overview of the company and the role. Then, I had a technical interview with a data scientist who was friendly and put me at ease. They asked some great questions. Around this time, I got another offer with a tight deadline. The recruiter went the extra mile to schedule interviews with the CTO over the weekend, which showed their dedication to hiring. Even though I had to take the other offer due to time, it was a great experience overall.

  • Can you discuss the work that's detailed on my resume?
