The interview process wasn't too tough, and the people I interacted with were all really nice. They didn't hit me with any difficult questions, which in hindsight, I probably should have questioned. It turns out they had layoffs happening, and they ended up hiring someone already within the company. It felt like a waste of my time if they knew that was the plan all along.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The process was really long, especially since the recruiter said it usually moves fast. It included three phone screens and then a six-hour in-person interview with six people. It seemed pretty positive, and the hiring manager even joked with me at the end and said I was doing well. I was sure an offer was coming. The recruiter met me afterwards and said the team would meet and he'd call me soon with an offer. I left feeling optimistic. Less than an hour later, I got an email saying they weren't moving forward because of my experience. It's strange because after four interviews, you'd think they'd have reviewed my resume thoroughly, and if my experience was an issue, why have me come in person? I felt my time was totally wasted, and I didn't even get a call. I was really upset about getting an email instead of a call. Anyway, I have a new job now and I'm glad I don't work for a company that treats people this way.

I was contacted by a recruiter, and after an initial chat, they scheduled me for an interview with one of the Product Managers. This was a deep dive, where they asked a lot about Hulu and my ideas for the product. I wasn't ready for how detailed the questions were, and I didn't do great. But, it was a good chat, and I got to ask about the internship, the team, and the interviewer's background.
