Got an email for a one-way video interview asking about my past retail and customer experience. I thought Hugo Boss was quick with hiring, but they took almost three months to get back to me with a rejection, which was really unprofessional. I feel like I dodged a bullet anyway.

I sent my CV on LinkedIn, and then they contacted my former employers to get a sense of my work ethic. After that, they invited me for an interview. I attended the interview, answered everything they asked, and got hired a week later.

I applied for a full-time Sales Associate position at the Buchanan Street store. Arriving 15 minutes early, I was greeted warmly and offered a seat while waiting for the AM. I used the time to check out the store, which was impressive in every way, making me want to work there even more. Staff acknowledged me as they passed, which was nice. The AM arrived within 10 minutes, was very friendly, and led me to the office, chatting on the way. We had a laugh about the small office and then started the interview. The questions were easy, and I felt comfortable and connected with the interviewer. I was asked about my current job and daily tasks, along with other standard questions. We shared some laughs, and I felt I'd get along great with and work hard for this manager. The 30-40 minute interview was enjoyable, and he seemed impressed, suggesting he wanted to offer me the job. It was the best interview I've ever had. I'm now waiting for the call to see if I got the job, which I really hope for because Hugo Boss is my favorite brand. Doing research is key, especially on brand history (Hugo Ferdinand Boss, 1924, expansion, current branding), but focus more on the selling aspect than the fashion details.
