I applied by sending in my resume and cover letter through my school's career portal. After a few weeks, someone from the firm reached out to set up an interview. I had no idea who I'd be meeting with, so I was surprised when it turned out to be four attorneys, and then a quick chat with HR folks afterwards. Some of the attorneys seemed unprepared for the Paralegal role, with one awkwardly focusing on their own work and making me ask them questions to keep the conversation going. They were all nice enough, though. The interview was split into 15-minute slots with each of the four attorneys. The Paralegal Coordinator was there, and he was the most helpful with details about the job. The hardest part was waiting for a response; I interviewed in March and didn't find out from HR until May that I didn't get the position. I was okay with that, as I didn't think the firm's culture was a good fit. But waiting over two months without any real updates felt really unprofessional and disappointing. HR only sent brief replies after I followed up.

It was a pretty chill interview. Started with the hiring manager, who asked some standard questions. Then I met with lawyers from different teams. I also chatted with a current legal assistant.

I applied online and got a call back in about two weeks. The interview process included a meeting with the Manager, followed by interviews with two attorneys who would be handling the case assignments. Case assignments are not chosen by the employee; they are assigned, and you have to adapt to whatever case you get.
