Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hudson Talent Solutions.
Consultant
So there were two stages in the interview process. First, the recruiter called me for a quick phone interview before anything else. Then, the first actual stage was an interview with both the recruiter and the head of the team. The second stage involved interviews with the directors of the company.
- What is your motivation for pursuing a role as a recruiter?
- Are you capable of handling rejection and negative feedback?
- Do you possess strong skills in networking and building connections?
Principal Consultant
I met the Associate Director in the Atrium, which is an open courtyard area with little privacy. He presented a misleading story about his personal objectives, none of which materialized during my employment. He was very personable and likable during the interview, but showed a Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde personality.
- Can you tell me what you know about Hudson?
- I also want to talk about myself for about half an hour.
Consultant
It started with a thorough phone screening, then an in-person meeting that was really comprehensive and involved building rapport. The consistent message throughout the whole process was great. However, there were quite a lot of meetings, and the 4 hours+ of psych testing felt a bit excessive.
