I passed a coding interview for front-end, then was asked to do a coding interview for back-end. After that, I had an onsite interview and eventually received an offer. However, because I require H1B sponsorship to work and renew my visa, I had to leave the country. Three months later, my case was approved and I was ready to return, but HR informed me that the position was no longer available. They wasted my time for no reason. The HR department seems to handle all hiring and immigration processes, with no direct contact to the law firm. If you need any type of sponsorship (H1B/Green Card) and are in tech, don't bother applying if you don't want to waste your time.

So the interview process involved a phone screen, and then an onsite round. The onsite had 4 interviewers, but their roles weren't super clear. They seemed unsure about requirements, even for algorithmic questions, which was a bit frustrating. I had to really push to confirm things like data structures and inputs before diving into solutions, and then sometimes they'd change the input later. This happened in about half the interviews. One interviewer seemed really disengaged, working on his laptop while I was trying to figure things out, which felt pretty rude. On the plus side, many questions were domain-specific and not just generic textbook problems.
