Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Huawei Technologies.
Project Controller
The interview was in english. They asked basic questions about the company profile, the job position, and yourself. It was nerve-wracking at first, but you'll get the hang of it.
- Could you tell me what ICT stands for and its relation to Huawei?
Project Controller
So, the interview process has three main parts. First up is the HR interview, just to check your English and see if you know the basics. Then, you'll have a First User Interview with your manager or Team Leader – they wanna see your experience and how quickly you can learn stuff. Lastly, there's a VP Interview to really dig into your qualifications and see if you're a good fit.
- In what ways has your previous experience influenced your decision to apply for this role?
Project Manager
I applied on LinkedIn and heard back about a week later. The interview process at Huawei was spread across two days and involved multiple stages at their office. Initially, HR handles the reception and informs the Hiring Manager. The Hiring Manager conducts the primary interview. If they're happy, the candidate proceeds to meet the Hiring Manager's boss the next day, with the Hiring Manager present. The third stage had two top candidates in a conference room with an HR rep who observed silently, taking notes, making it seem like a non-verbal interview. The final interview was with another senior leader at Huawei. This intensive process was for a critical project to ensure I was the right fit.
- Due to Huawei's handling of classified telecom data, I cannot disclose the interview questions because of a non-disclosure agreement.
