The interview process starts with a Qualification interview where they grill you on your resume experience to verify it's legit. Next up is a Language test on an app, checking your listening (multiple choice) and speaking (like IELTS PART 2). Then comes the Group interview, a case study discussion where you need to contribute without being overly aggressive. After that, a Business interview covers Huawei's background and future plans – reading their annual report helps. The Overall assessment is like a personality test, looking at your traits and values. Finally, the General interview is a pressure test to gauge your psychological resilience; the key is to be neither humble nor overbearing.

I applied through a third-party staffing agency since Huawei doesn't hire directly in India. The HR was unhelpful, suggesting I apply for a different role, even though I performed very well in all technical rounds. The whole process took 2 months, and in the end, I was back to square one because the HR didn't consider me for the role I applied for. They then asked me to apply for a different role and, in the first interview for that new role, it was a project discussion instead of technical questions. The interviewer liked my projects and mentioned a coding round, but then they ghosted me with no communication.

Recruiters collected resumes, and after shortlisting, they called us for a personal interview at a hotel. There wasn't any written or aptitude test. We went straight into two rounds of technical interviews, focusing on C, C++, and Java.

Confirmed questions8 questions
  • Could you elaborate on the technical aspects of your project?
  • Can you confirm that you were the one who worked on this project and it's not misrepresented?
