First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Huawei Technologies.
Intern
The interview process involved a live-coding session where I had to solve a DP problem, specifically finding the minimum path sum in a matrix. I was also asked about my research topic, and I got to present my own projects. They also talked about the department's research and the project I'd be working on.
- Could you live-code a DP problem, like finding the minimum path sum in a matrix?
- Tell me about your research topic?
- Can you introduce your own project/work?
Intern
It's the standard stuff like telling them about yourself, what you know about the company, and why you want to join. You just gotta research the company and feel good about your answers.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What is your understanding of our company?
- What motivates your interest in joining us?
Applications Developer Intern
I sent my resume at a job fair on 4/17. I got a call on 4/21 which was like a screening call where they talked about the job and said there would be 3 interviews total. I got an email the next day with details, and the interview was on 4/23. The interview was split into two parts, the first in English and the second in Chinese. I found the Chinese part a bit challenging because my CS education was in English, but I managed. After that, I heard nothing for 2-3 weeks, so I emailed to follow up, but got no response.
- Leetcode #165, modified to be a bit harder, asked in Chinese
