Behavioral Case

It was a casual interview, with a lot of questions. They asked if I had a customer base portfolio I could bring over. There were many "what if" simulations and questions about how I would approach my customer base to achieve my quarterly target goals.

I had a terrible interview experience with Huawei. They scheduled me for an interview at their Madrid office with only 12 hours' notice, even though I live in Barcelona and they wouldn't cover travel expenses or reschedule. I made it on time, but then had to wait two hours. The first round was a group interview where they asked uncomfortable questions like who contributed the least, and insisted on an honest answer even when I hesitated. They publicly announced that unsuccessful candidates could leave, and then I had to wait five more hours for the second round. In the second round, they aggressively questioned everything on my CV. After a full day of three rounds, they sent us home to wait for a notice. Then, two more phone interviews and an 8-hour online test followed, which I had to complete with no flexibility despite having a full day of classes. After finishing all of this, I waited two months for a response, and my follow-up emails were ignored. The rejection email was generic and lacked a proper greeting. I never received any feedback after asking for it. I initially attended out of curiosity, but after the first round, I knew I didn't want to work there, yet I continued the process to see how bad it could get. Huawei clearly doesn't value candidates' time or treat them with respect.

I saw the job posting on the website and sent in my resume. I also reached out to people I know at the company to put in a good word for me. Then, I had 4 interviews. First, I talked to the Head of HR about my resume. After that, I gave a business plan presentation to a Business Manager and another manager. The final interview was with the chief of the business managers.
