First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HTC Global Services.
Program Analyst
I went through an interview process at htc global service in October 2016 in Chennai. It was a single-day process. It started with a programming written test where we had to solve 10 programs, each worth 5 marks. These included basic programming questions and some related to OOPs concepts. The preferred languages were JAVA or C#. After the test, there was an English verbal test, followed by an essay writing round. The process concluded with a final HR interview.
- Can you write a program to generate the Fibonacci series?
- What is method overriding and can you explain it?
- Could you explain method overloading?
Programme Analyst
The interview process started with a written test featuring 100 questions covering English grammar (comprehension, synonyms, jumbled sentences) and basic technical concepts in C and C++. The test was allotted 1 hour and 30 minutes, which seemed more than sufficient. I was instructed not to fill in the question paper set number, even after inquiring about it twice. Surprisingly, within 5-10 minutes after paper submission, I was called in for a very brief 2-minute formal introduction, after which I was immediately informed of my rejection. This rapid assessment, especially the paper correction without a set number, raised questions about the fairness of their background process.
- aptitude test including C, C++ and grammar questions
Program Analyst Trainee
It was an on-campus hiring event. The first round was an MCQ test with 100 questions covering C++, Data Structures, and Verbal Ability. The second round was a technical interview focusing on basic programming and language understanding. The third round was a general HR interview.
- Can you explain the concept of Object-Oriented Programming using real-world examples?
- What does the index of an array represent?
- What motivates your interest in pursuing a career in the IT industry?
