After you pass the online assessments, the interviews on campus kick off. First, there's a Technical Interview where you'll introduce yourself, chat about your projects and resume. They'll ask questions on OOPs, sorting algorithms, data structures, some basic system design stuff like entities and classes, and a few easy puzzles. If you make it through this, you'll go straight to the HR round. The interviewers seemed pretty nice, based on my experience and what others said too.

The first step was an online assessment, which I remember being easy but don't recall the specific questions. The second round involved an introduction and then some DSA questions, along with questions based on my resume. They also asked a few questions about Python and then some more in-depth Python questions. The third round was an HR interview, which was very relaxed and pleasant. We discussed my family background, reasons for joining HSBC, and some personal questions.

There were 3 interview rounds plus a take-home task. The questions covered a lot of ground, from Java collections, DS, and new Java features to Angular, Javascript, multithreading, and databases. I had to write code, find bugs in existing code, and even deal with an interviewer speaking Chinese while I was working on problems. Honestly, it was one of the worst interview experiences I've had in a long time. The interviewer was incredibly dense and kept changing the requirements while trying to act smart.
