I applied online for the Wealth and Personal Banking graduate program, and the whole thing took about 6 months. First, there was an online assessment. After waiting two months, I had an interview with HR. Then, after another three-month wait, the final part was a group interview. It actually took them an hour just to let us into the building, and because of that, we couldn't finish the assessments properly. A month later, they finally got back to me with feedback and told me I didn't get in.

The interview process started with an APT test focusing on behavioral questions where I had to select and rank my top 5. This was followed by a job simulation with mostly video responses. It included typical interview questions like asking why I want to join the company and what strengths I bring to HSBC. The final part was an analytical task: using provided data and criteria, I had to recommend a market expansion strategy for commercial banking and justify it in a 3-minute explanation.
