The HSBC online assessment is a pretty lengthy one, I believe it took me at least an hour. It's packed with situational judgement questions where you have to rank given responses from best to worst. These scenarios are work-related, like whether you should get involved in something, if you should take on more work when you're already swamped, or if you should ask for help immediately versus trying to be more independent. Then, for the Hire Vue part, I had to answer a question with a 7-minute prep time about a budget and how to reallocate funds during market volatility – the suggestion was to move money from risky investments to low-risk government bonds. Other questions I faced were about my greatest strength and how I'd maximize opportunities within the company.

the panel was polite and professional, round 1 mostly focused on past experience followed by basic SQL questions and knowledge on cloud tools, data warehousing. there were 2 rounds, round 2 was with UK counterpart, questions were mainly focused on managerial type and situation based. hope it helps all the best, be very strong with your experience and prepare well for managerial round.

Interview with the systems manager, very friendly. Lots of questions for an internship, explained my "future" role, but never completed anything. The manager was great, it was clear from what he said that he wanted to retire.
