First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HP Inc..
Manager
It started online, then another online interview, followed by an in-person one. Then there was an HR chat, which was friendly. The final stage was a group interview with about 5 or 6 people. The entire process took over a month, and the offer came two weeks after that.
- Can you tell me about your past roles and responsibilities?
- In what ways do you see yourself being a good fit for this position?
Management Associate
It was one round of behavioral questions with two managers from the company. The whole interview lasted about 30 minutes. No technical questions were asked. I had to wait about two to three weeks for the outcome of the interview.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join HP?
- Describe a situation where you had a conflict with a colleague.
Incident Manager
So I interviewed for the Incident Manager job at Hewlett Packard. It was a pretty good experience overall, like, the whole thing from first contact to the last interview was smooth and organized. It had a few rounds, starting with a phone screen and then moving on to in-person interviews. Each part was a chance to show what I know about incident management. The people interviewing me were pros, knew their stuff, and were polite. They really focused on both the tech side and the people skills, which I liked. The questions made sense and let me show how I solve problems, communicate, and handle incidents. I also got a feel for HP's culture – they seem to be all about teamwork, new ideas, and helping employees grow. They talked about how the teams work together and how the company supports everyone. So yeah, a really positive interview process. I'm hoping to join them and contribute to HP's success. Just a heads up, make sure you're ready to talk about your incident management skills, both technical and how you work with others. Also, know about their culture and values.
- Tell me about a time you handled a critical incident in a money-losing operation.
