First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HP Hood.
Lab Technician
After an initial call to set up the interview date, you'll meet with about 2-3 people. This includes your potential direct manager, a new manager on the floor for hiring experience, and an HR rep. They'll ask around 5-8 questions. It's all individual interviews, no group stuff.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- Describe how you manage disagreements with colleagues.
- What do you consider your biggest weakness and strength?
Lab Technician
I was questioned by a panel of three supervisors. The interview lasted about an hour and was pretty direct. My advice is to be yourself and ask job-related questions like who you'll be working with and what your tasks will be. Also, prepare for questions like what would you do if you had a heavy workload and needed to meet a deadline.
- Can you describe a time you had a heavy workload and had to meet a deadline, and how you handled it?
- What is your motivation?
Laboratory Technician
I put in my application on their website and someone from Quality Assurance reached out about a month later to set up an in-person interview. No phone call happened before that. The whole thing was about 30-40 minutes long and I met with a group of 3 people.
- What would you do if X situation occurred?
