The first interviewer was nice and asked about my past work. It seemed like they really care about data analytic skills, even though the job description didn't focus on that. But, the interviewer didn't seem to know or share much about the actual job and the vibe of the workplace.

The interview process was well-organized, and it was evident that the candidate understood the role and the company's mission. They presented their ideas confidently, used relevant examples to showcase their skills, and seemed genuinely enthusiastic. Although some answers could have been shorter, the candidate was professional and thoughtful in their responses. Their performance indicates they have strong potential for the job.

I applied online and got a take-home test quickly, due in 3 days. They said they'd reply in a week, but I had to chase them for an update, as their HR contact seemed unresponsive. Around late May, HR finally replied, and we scheduled an interview. However, an hour before the interview, they rescheduled due to the interviewer's urgent matter. We picked a new time, but again, HR was unresponsive. On the new date, they claimed inbox issues and asked to reschedule again. Frustrated by the delays and what felt like disrespect, I insisted on proceeding, and we finally had the interview that same day. The interview itself was straightforward and in Chinese. Salary discussions were deferred to a later stage if the interview was successful, which felt secretive. They initially planned to respond within 3 weeks, but I requested an answer sooner. Ultimately, I received an automated rejection. The overall organization and communication were very poor, suggesting it could take months to navigate their HR process in China. I'd advise looking at other companies that might respect candidates' time more.
