Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at House of Fraser.
Sales Assistant
The interview process was pretty straightforward and didn't take too long. First, they checked my documents and made sure I could legally work in the UK. Then, they asked me about my availability and past experience. After that, they wanted to know what I thought should be the top priority for this role and why, and also ran through some practice scenarios with me.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience?
- What availability do you have?
- What do you think is most important to focus on in this job, and explain why?
Sales Assistant
We had a group interview where we all went around the table, introduced ourselves, and talked about our backgrounds. Everyone was asked really good questions. I was told I'd hear back within a week, but it's been a while since the interview and I still haven't heard anything. I did reach out for an update, but got no response.
- Can you explain what teamwork is and how you'd define it?
Sales Assistant
We had an online interview first, and if that went well, we had an in-store group assessment. In the group assessment, we did tasks in groups and then I had a one-on-one interview.
- How do you feel about meeting deadlines?
