Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at House of Fraser.
Customer Service Representative
The first part was a group interview with about 25 people split into four tables. We were given a diagram of the customer journey from entering to leaving the store. We had to map out steps for providing VIP customer service at each stage. Then, each table shared their feedback. After that, there was an individual interview where we discussed our availability, skills, past experience, and desired hours. We also needed to mention any pre-booked holidays within the next 12 weeks for scheduling purposes.
- Can you describe an instance where you delivered exceptional customer service?
Customer Service Specialist
First, there was an online assessment to check your skills. Then a video interview to get to know you as a person. After that, a group assessment centre where managers from all departments evaluated candidates. If you did well, you'd move on to a face-to-face interview which also included a role-play.
- Can you explain what VIP customer service entails?
Customer Service Representative
Applied online, did an online assessment which I passed, got an email back quickly, then had a 1 on 1 interview. The interview started with the interviewer asking me to tell them about myself. I was then asked 3 questions. The workers were very friendly and the interview lasted around 10 minutes.
- Can you recall a time when you influenced someone?
