I had a one-on-one with the department manager. They asked me specific questions from a list. I had to talk about my past work and experiences. Dress stylishly, not in a suit.

After submitting my application, I had to complete an online assessment which involved answering multiple-choice questions about retail scenarios. Then, I had an online interview where I had to respond to a given question in under 90 seconds. Finally, I attended an assessment centre with 8 other candidates. The whole thing was pretty disorganized and frankly awful. The interviewers didn't make us feel welcome or show any interest. I was expecting a presentation or group task, but instead, it was just a one-on-one with a temporary staff member who made things very uncomfortable. The interview was very basic, more suited for a sales advisor, not a Brand Specialist. I got an offer the next day for a different role, which I declined, and I withdrew my other applications. Hopefully, other branches will be better.

I had an interview for a brand specialist role, which was actually with people who would be sales advisors. We kicked off with an icebreaker where we had to choose an item for 'room 101'. We wrote these down, put them in a box, and one was picked randomly. Whoever's item was chosen had to state their name and why they were interested in HOF. Researching the brand and mentioning its premium products would be a good move here. Then, the interviewer discussed the company values and asked questions related to them, like respecting each other. Next, we were split into groups of three. One person played the customer, and the others had to select suitable products. It's beneficial to know about any current offers, promotions, or services HOF provides so you can make a relevant recommendation, which would likely impress them. Following that, we had individual interviews where three questions were asked: 'When have you changed a person's mind about a product?', 'Tell me about yourself in terms of job experience?', and 'Give an example of when you had to plan something and achieved this?' (I discussed organizing my time around deadlines). I received a call the same day offering me a sales advisor position for a specific brand due to my availability. Brand specialists are full-time. I was surprised to learn I needed another interview for brand approval. After that brand approval interview (which required studying and understanding the brand), I was officially told I got the job.
