First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Horizon Air.

The interview process had 3 stages: first, a virtual video interview where you didn't need your camera on and had unlimited time with 3 recording attempts. Then, there was a group interview and an informational session. Finally, a 2:1 virtual interview. They responded within a few hours after each step.
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated integrity?

I applied online on 10/27, and the next day got an invite for a virtual one-way audio interview. I submitted that on 10/30 and immediately got asked to schedule a Virtual Group Orientation & Interview Session. I did that on 11/4, which was a two-hour thing with breakout rooms for group interviews with a recruiter. Right after that, I was invited to a Virtual 2:1 interview, which I had on 11/12. This was with a recruiter and a hiring/base manager where they asked me to walk through my resume and hit me with about 5-7 situational questions, some repeating from earlier steps. On 11/13, I got a TBNT email saying to reapply in six months. The audio interview was likely AI-graded given how fast the next step invite came. I made sure to weave in the company's buzzwords into my answers. The group session is long, so be ready for the full two hours. The 2:1 involves going over your resume and situational questions.

- Can you walk us through your resume and tell us about yourself?
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a challenging customer and how you fixed it.
Flight Attendant
I got a virtual job invitation with a link to complete. It was an audio-only interview, which I didn't realize and dressed up for nothing! The questions were basic and straightforward, kind of like "Tell me about a time when" questions. You get 3 tries to record your answer for each of the 5 questions.
- What makes you want to join this team?
Flight Attendant
There were about 50-60 people interviewing. We were split into tables of 10 people each, with a different interviewer at each table. The first part involved ice breaker questions that were customer service related, passed around the table. Each person had to answer. Then, those moving on were called individually to a different room for another set of questions. This whole thing was 2 rounds. If they liked you at the end, they'd offer you a CJO right away, and then start the drug test and background check.
- Could you describe what constitutes excellent customer service?
- What makes you want to work for Horizon/Alaska Air?
- What are some of your pet peeves?
