Technical Coding

I think any data analyst position is a fake opening to get free ideas. They start with a standard interview process and a recruiter. But then for the technical part, the recruiter emails that they want to test your ability to measure success, but in the interview she says she doesn't want metrics, just ideas on how to solve the problem.

Technical Coding Presentation

It was a very clear and transparent process. The interviewer was chill and curious about my projects, and asked thoughtful questions. It shows a lot about their culture. 1. Phone Screen 2. Take-Home (2 weeks) About 2 more rounds after. Although I didn't pass the take-home challenge, I received detailed feedback from my interviewer, which I really appreciate. I really learned a lot from the take-home challenge since it was about NLP which I have no experience with, but it was a great process overall.

Technical Case

I went through 3 parts of the interview process: a brief introductory call with the recruiter, a take-home assignment, and a longer one-on-one video chat with a senior team member. The interactions were all positive and helpful. The take-home task involved a large dataset (around 1 million records) of app interactions and outcomes, with very open-ended questions about potential business insights. It would have been better if they had narrowed the focus a bit, as I spent a lot of time searching for interesting points. The one-on-one meeting wasn't great because the team lead asked what she called a 'brain teaser,' which was really a domain-specific question with a predetermined correct answer.
