Hopin Software Engineer Interview Questions
& Process

There were 4 interviews total. First, a call with the internal recruiter to go over basic qualifications and see if I was a good fit. Then, a technical interview where I had to add a simple feature to a demo app. After that, I spoke with the engineering manager. This interview usually involves questions about my past work experience and finishes with a system design discussion on a whiteboard. Lastly, a short chat with the CTO about my work history and how I approach work.

It was a good process with several useful stages. It started with a screening call. Then I talked to various people in different parts of the company. There was also a programming test. What seemed like a high number of calls was actually super valuable and enjoyable.

A recruiter from Hopin reached out on Hired and set up an early morning interview. They emailed five minutes before it started asking to reschedule, and then had trouble figuring out how to do it. After they managed, they scheduled another super early morning interview. They were over ten minutes late to that one, then started emailing me asking why I wasn't eager to talk to them again. Also, Hopin is a UK company and doesn't offer health insurance.
