First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hopin.
Site Reliability Engineer
The interview process is awesome. I've done a lot of interviews in my life on both sides. And Hopin is that kind of company, which doesn't ask stupid questions you can google in 5 seconds. Only practical questions about solving real issues. Because that's the way you can find if a person will be able to solve tasks in the company. The hiring team is very professional. The hiring process was very well structured and didn't cause any stress to me. All the people I spoke with were super friendly. And also they seemed to be super happy working for Hopin.
- Could you outline a sample architecture for web applications using serverless technologies on AWS cloud?
Site Reliability Engineer
First, I had a phone call with a recruiter where we talked about my experience, potential start date, and salary expectations. After that, there was a technical interview with two team members, followed by another interview with the managers. The team was really friendly and happy to answer all my questions about the role. The recruiter was also super responsive after each step, which sped things up a lot.
- What are your career aspirations?
Site Reliability Engineer
It was a four stage process. First, a Talent Acquisition specialist did an initial chat to gauge general suitability. Then, I spoke with the Hiring Manager about my work history and some tech. After that, the engineering team asked more in-depth tech questions. Finally, there was a cultural fit round with some tech-based 'how do you approach xyz' type questions.
- Can you describe your approach and beliefs regarding system monitoring?
