Customer Success Manager
The interview process really gave me a negative impression of the company. I had 2 rounds of interviews and then after a month, I got the official rejection letter. But honestly, I rejected them after the 2nd interview. I was a referral, and the first recruiter never got back to me. So my referral contacted another recruiter who scheduled a phone screen with me. It was quick and easy, and the recruiter then set up a meeting with someone who is currently a Customer Success Manager. This person seemed to really hate their job! I asked them what their day to day looked like, and they couldn't even answer. They basically said there isn't much going on since the team split into two groups: one focused on technical work and the other on customer relationships. They also talked about the challenges of working remotely during COVID and how working late makes it harder to disconnect. After this interview, I decided Hopin wasn't for me. I was waiting for the recruiter to tell me I was rejected so I could give feedback, but they ghosted me for 4 weeks, and then I got an automated email. You guys should really consider who conducts your interviews because interviewing is a two-way street. As a highly professional candidate, I had ZERO interest in working with that person or for the company.

Customer Success Manager
So, there were four main steps in the interview journey: first, a quick phone screen, then a chat with the manager for the department, after that, a challenge call, and finally, a talk with the department lead. Most of these chats were about 30 minutes, but that third one, the challenge interview, went for 45 minutes.
- Can you share about your general work background?
- What kinds of tools have you worked with?
- Can you tell me about your experience in customer service?
Customer Success Manager
The interview process was pretty straightforward and they were quick to schedule the next steps after each interview. I had three interviews, followed by a 30-minute presentation which felt a bit short. They had to cut my presentation short due to time constraints for feedback and questions, which felt rushed. After not hearing back for a week, I got an email from HR wanting to talk. We had a video call the next day where the interviewer joined with their camera off and told me they hired someone else. When I asked for feedback, they couldn't provide any and the call ended quickly. I would have preferred an email instead of going through the whole video call just to be rejected, especially after the email gave me hope.
- Can you describe your past experience?
- What processes have you implemented or utilized?
